Coil slitting is the process of longitudinally cutting wide master coils into narrower, more manageable widths whilst maintaining the coil form.

Equipment & Capacity
Our facility houses two precision slitting lines, each equipped with modern tooling and control systems. This dual-line capability provides flexibility, redundancy, and the capacity to handle diverse requirements efficiently.

Maximum Coil Weight: 5 tonnes
Our handling equipment and line capacity accommodate coils up to 5 tonnes, covering the vast majority of commercial coil sizes. Specialised lifting equipment ensures safe material handling whilst protecting surfaces from damage.

Width Range: 10mm to 650mm
We slit materials from as narrow as 10mm (suitable for small brackets, strips, and specialised components) up to 650mm (accommodating wide panels, ducting
materials, and structural elements). Most common industrial requirements fall comfortably within this range.

Material Thickness: 0.4mm to 3.5mm
From thin gauge materials for pressing operations through to heavier sections for structural applications, our lines handle the full thickness spectrum commonly used in mild steel manufacturing.

Multiple Widths from Single Coils
When your production requires several different widths, we can slit multiple strips from a single master coil in one pass. This efficiency can reduce costs and lead times compared to processing separate coils.

Edge Quality
Our precision tooling delivers clean, straight edges with minimal burr. Edge quality directly affects how material performs in downstream operations, and we maintain strict standards to ensure optimal results.
Width Tolerances
Consistent width tolerances are critical for automated production processes. Our equipment maintains tight tolerances, and we verify measurements throughout processing to ensure specifications are met.
