Established in 2017, Express Slitting Services Ltd was founded to address a specific gap in the market: a dedicated coil slitting service specialising exclusively in ferrous metals with the flexibility and personal touch that larger operations often lack.

Whilst our company is relatively young, our expertise spans over 30 years of combined experience in metal processing and coil slitting. Our founders and operators have spent decades perfecting their craft, working with some of the industry's leading manufacturers before establishing Express Slitting Services.

We recognised that many businesses needed a slitting partner who could combine modern equipment and capabilities with old-fashioned customer service values. Our West Bromwich facility houses advanced slitting equipment capable of handling the full range of mild steel materials and specifications. We've invested significantly in both machinery and material handling systems to ensure safe, efficient processing of coils up to 5 tonnes.

Precision Slitting

Two precision slitting lines enable us to process materials from 0.4mm to 3.5mm thickness, cutting widths from 10mm to 650mm with exceptional accuracy. Regular maintenance and calibration ensure consistent performance and tight tolerances.

Recoiling Facility

Our dedicated recoiling facility processes coils up to 1800mm overall diameter, accommodating 406mm, 457mm, and 508mm inside diameters. This flexibility ensures we can meet diverse customer requirements without compromise.

Material Handling

Specialised lifting and handling equipment allows safe processing of heavy coils whilst protecting material surfaces from damage. Proper handling is critical to delivering the quality you expect.

Quality Control

Throughout the slitting process, our operators monitor edge quality, width accuracy, and surface condition. We inspect materials before processing and verify finished coils against specifications before dispatch.
